The interior of monument has been largely designed on the basis of the local architectural style. Though not many in number, the palace has wall paintings which are splendid and shows and depicts the royal living style of the rajas and maharajas during that time. There are also paintings of Lord Krishna kept in the walls of the interior which also enhances the beauty of the palace to an extent. All the doors of the palace are carved with teak wood.

It is known that during the early years of the 19th century the fort of Sujanpur served as a residence for Raja Sansar Chand. Contextually, numerous portraits and statue relevant to Sansar Chand and his royal family can be found within the fort. There is a big hall within the interior of the fort named as Barahdari Hall, which was used by Sansar Chand to hold meetings and addressing the people of the kingdom. In the present day scenario, this hall has paintings depicting the throne of the raja.



The fort is deemed to be quite important architecturally as it has been one of the oldest forts in Himachal Pradesh and India. Notably, the entrance of the fort has a courtyard which is being covered with two gates from each end. It was built during the stay of the Sikhs in the fort which can also be understood from the inscription written on the entrance gate of the fort. From the main entrance, there is a passage that directly connects with the top end of the fort which passes through the Ahani and Amiri Darwaza.

The Kamru Fort is considered to be amongst the oldest forts in Himachal Pradesh. It is situated in the district of Kinnaur in Himachal Pradesh. The Kamru Fort is situated just 2 kilometres away from the Sangla Valley in Sarahan, Himachal Pradesh. The fort is positioned at an altitude of almost 2600 metres and is rests in a striking location encircled with snow covered mountains, thick woods and verdant meadows.

The palace which is being designed on the Rajasthani style of architecture is one of the most beautiful structures in India. It depicts the true picture of the Rajputana life style and culture and how grand there life was. The convoluted pillars within the fort shows the master class of its design. Notably, within the fort there is an Arcades which are used to keep the artifacts of the royal family. The interior of the house has extensive use of wood especially in the walls.



The palace was constructed largely on the basis of the Mughal and Indian style of architecture. This beautiful palace of the 18th century has furniture used by the maharajas kept within its interior. The rooms within the palace is quite charming so much so that they was later transformed into cottages.



The Padam Palace which is also known as the Rampur Palace is one of the renowned historical structures in the Shimla District of Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is specifically located in the Rampur regions of the state. It was once used as the residence by Raja Padam Dev Singh on whom the name of the palace was kept.



The Viceregal Lodge, which is also known as the Rashtrapati Niwas is located in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The palace is deemed to be quite near to the observatory hills of the beautiful hill station i.e. Shimla. Over the year, the monument has witnessed the rule of both the British and the Indian rulers among others.
