Gajner Palace has its own western history. Since it was built in the British dominant time, it also has a European style mixed with Rajput and Mughal pattern of architecture. Maharaja Sri Ganga Singh built this palace as his summer resort and for adventures like hunting. Many of the Viceroys to India by 'East India Company' visited and stayed here for hunting adventures, for holidays and few stayed here as guests. In the early of the 20th century, it was famous by shooting Sand Grouse birds found in those areas. The palace has the collections of Maharaja Sri Ganga Ji's hunting remains for preserving animal and birds, their skins and horns mounted on the wall inside the palace. In those days it was the only imperial place for European delegates to hang around.
