In India for any auspicious occasions like marriage or for house construction or for any other auspicious occasion good time or muhuratha Is carved out which will give good days in which that activity had to be performed. If auspicious activity is being done in good time according to astrology principles it will give better results.
According to muhuratha astrology, various parameters had to be looked by astrologer in order to give a single sentence answer.
Some of the vital parameters are:-
Tithi:- In this part, there are total 30 tithis. Half are from the Krishna side (darker side) half are from the Shukla side (brighter side). In this section "Rikta" tithis had to be avoided for any auspicious task.
Nakshatra:- In all there are 27 Nakshatra (Asterism) and in this section astrologer had to pick auspicious Nakshatra from 27 Nakshatra according to the auspicious occasion. Moreover if Nakshatra for the day from Janam Nakshatra is 1, 3, 5, 7 , 10 , 12, 14, 16 then it Tara Bala would be low and thus it would be bad for undertaking any auspicious occasion on that day.
Yoga:- There are different yogas for muhuratha but this yogas are different from astrology yogas that forms in birth chart. This muhuratha yogas forms with the combination of sun and moon's longitude . Out of this there are some inauspicious yogas that had to be avoided.
Karana:- It is the half part of tithi and it also plays an equal role in deciding muhuratha. Out of this "Visti" Karana is inauspicious to carry out auspicious activities.
Rahu kaal:- This time should be avoided for taking auspicious decisions.
Apart from that there are other parameters which had to be checked as well in order to give any conclusions. So it can be judged that the answer will be very short but it takes lots of energy from astrologer in order to give suitable days for auspicious occasion.
