Amritsar Gurudwara, Punjab »


The Golden Temple is named officially named as the Harmandir Sahib meaning .The temple of god. It is located in the city of Amritsar in the Indian state of Punjab. It is a Sikh Gurudwar and for the people following Sikhism. The Gurudwara was built by Guru Ramdaas Sahib, the fourth Sikh Guru in the 16th century. The constructed began in December 1585 and was completed in 1604.



Gurdwara Bir Baba Budha Sahib is located in the village named Thatta on the Amritsar-Chaabal Road, in the district of Amritsar, in the state of Punjab, in Northwestern India. It is nearly 20 km south of Amritsar. It is popularly known in short as Bir Sahib. It is the holy place where Baba Budha Ji largely spent much part of his life that is between 1506 and 1631. It is only 11km south of Ludhiana along the Ludhiana-Malerkotla Highway. This particular Gurudwara is also known as Alamgir Sahib.
