Gurdwara Karamsar Rara Sahib or Gurdwara Rara Sahib is located in the village named Rara Sahib, in the district of Ludhiana, in the state of Punjab, in Northwestern India. This village was known as Rara previously but was transformed into Rara Sahib mainly due to the visit of the sixth Guru of Sikhism, Guru Hargobind ji. It is approximately 22 km north-west of Khanna, 14 km north-east of Ahmedgarh and 22 km south-east of Ludhiana. On the Chawa-Payal-Ahmedgarh road, it lies and situated on the bank of Sirhind Canal's Bathinda branch. It is one of the most sought after and most visited Gurudwara in the district of Ludhiana.

Gurdwara Karamsar Rara Sahib Religious Significance

In recent times, the village has become popular mainly because of the dedication of Sant Kishan Singh Ji and Sant Isher Singh Ji. It is to be remembered that on the wholehearted request of Sardar Gian Singh Rarewala, they had decided to stay in the village Rara Sahib and had in a successful manner made this desolate place their perfect abode. Later, a huge Gurdwara complex called as Gurdwara Karamsar was successfully built besides this holy village. It is to be remembered that this holy abode has been a right place of wholehearted worship plus penance of the saint such as the great "Sriman 111 named as" Sant Isher Singh Ji. It is to be highly noted that this is the religious spot where saint tirelessly devoted himself to Lord. The current form of the existing Gurdwara is a beautiful and attractive monument that was built in his grand memory. Moreover, Sant Kishan Singh Ji handled and undertook all the different types of services at the Gurdwara in a religious manner. He actually set Sant Isher Singh Ji completely free of all these duties and responsibilities. On the other hand, when the latter Isher Singh permanently left his mortal world of eternity the complete duty and responsibility of preaching directly came upon his shoulders.
