When people talk about festivals one of the common concept that people have in their mind is celebration and feasting. However, festivals can also be observed and kept in many ways besides feasting and merriment. Certain festivals like Ramzan are observed in a different way instead of feasting and merriment they kept the days of this festival fasting rather than celebration and sharing meals.

The festival of Ramzan is one of the important festivals for the Muslims. The Muslim community have a great believe in Allah whom they considered as the almighty God and creator of all universes. Like the Hindus they also have strict rules and regulations concerned with their religion and keep them up by their entire believer both young and old. However, unlike other festive rules and other ritual celebration this festival of Ramzan is abit lighten for those sick and unhealthy group of people.

Ramzan is kept in commemoration of the date of revealing the well verse Quran and its festival marks the end of the fasting days of Ramzan. According to the holy book of Quran the Muslims believe that Muhammad first received the revelations on this day after the long prayer and fasting. The story is somewhat similar with the old testimony from the bible. The Christian believe that Moses made sacrifice fasting quite a long days asking God to give him the commandments to follow. Then it was during this day that God gave Moses the Ten Commandments which Christian follows till today. Muslims holy book of Quran has quite many similar verses of the old testaments of Bible and in fact the inner teaching all links to one God that is called omnipresent almighty God the creator of the universe.

Now speaking about the origin of this festival as written according to the holy book of Quran it was during this month of Ramadan which falls on the ninth month of the Islamic calendar in the during the lunar month this commemoration is made by each and every devotee of Quran.

The fasting and depriving of oneself from the worldly pleasure is a long term preparation made by the Muslims before the day of the Ramzan festival. During the preparation Muslims from all over the world humble themselves down to the almighty God with prayer and fasting asking Allah to forgive their sins and give spiritual renewal to them and their family as well. Thus Ramzan is a time for spiritual renewal, it's a time for them to reflect one self and become a pious person giving honour and praise to his creator. Besides eating and drinking they also kept themselves away from sinful acts and abstain from speaking ill of others.

Ramadan also teaches every Muslims to have a good life and a control emotional statue. It teaches every devotee how to life a better life of discipline and self-control which controls every deed and actions of every individual and that's the beauty of this festival observed by the Muslims.
