The god hurtled the demons for twelve days and twelve nights fighting. The quarrel between the gods and demons continued for amrita, the fluid of immortality. It is said that the amrita fell down from the sky and dropped down into the places calledUjjain, Nasik, Prayag and Haridwar.Till now the event Kumbh Mela is been observed in these four locations where the nectar of immortality fell. Today it has become one of the top Hindu festivals that take place when Jupiter enters Aquarius and the sun enters Aries.
