Chinakkathoor Pooram is one among the most popular traditional festival celebrated with great enthusiasm. The festival usually falls in the month of makam naal of Kumbham which eventually comes in the month of February and March and so after the New Year official celebration this festival is anxiously awaited by thousands.

The festival of Chinakkathoor is one of the most frenetic at the same time entertaining one among almost all the traditional and cultural festivals of India.
