Buddha Purnima is also known as Buddha Jayanti and the holy festival of Buddhists. Celebrating Buddha Purnima is celebrating Lord Buddha birthday. It is the day when he was born. Siddhartha Gautama Buddha was the spiritual teacher and the only founder of Buddhism. The festival Buddha Purnima is celebrated in remembrance of the Lord Buddha and one of the most important festivals of Buddhists. Buddha Jayanti is the day when he first take his first step on the earth. Buddhists all over the world celebrates the day with great devotion. The day is celebrated in every corner of the world where Buddhist lives. The worshipers of Buddha devote their whole day in this event. Buddha Jayanti falls on the full moon in the month of vaisakh. The day is a celebrated in respect to Lord Siddhartha Gautama Buddha. Buddha Purnima includes all the three important events of Buddha's life which is his birth in 623 BC, enlightment in 588 BC and extinction at the age of 80. There is a religious belief that during this day if a person carries the book of monks than he will be free from all his bad sins. Every one from different religions can join the path.
