Sri Raghava Ashram Chennai Tamil Nadu

Sri Raghava Ashram is located in Vandalur, in the capital city of Chennai, in the state of Tamil Nadu. Its temples dedicated to Yogi Ramsuratkumar and Sri Ram Nam Mandir are situated in South Mada Street, in the village named Kolathur, near Mambakkam, on Road connecting Vandalur - Kelambakkam in Chennai. Its Panchavadi Gosala Trust is situated in South Mada Street, in the village named Kolathur, near Mambakkam, in Chennai and its Sri Bhagwan Yogi Ramsuratkumar Baktha Samaj is situated at New no: 35, Old 39/1, on KMN Street, in the village named Mandavelipakkam, in Chennai.

The Ashram

In the year 2001, with Guru's wholehearted blessings, Baktha Samaj successfully established Sri Raghava Ashram at Kolathur near Vandalur in the metropolitan city of Chennai. This ashram is to largely commemorate Pujaya Sri Bhagawan Yogi Ramsuratkumarji. On the other hand, it is also the home of more than 35 crores of Rama Nama as per the counting done in 2008. It is to be highly noted that a platform raised specially is installed at this Ashram's premises that proudly hold the written namas. It is to be remembered that regular poojas are performed daily in order to honor the significance and power of Rama Nama. In the dreams of Muralidhara Swamigal, as ordained by Yogi Ramsuratkumar Maharaj to install His Divine Form at Sri Raghava Ashram Guruji installed in 2002, the Archa avatara moorthi (statue) of Bhagwan Yogi Ramsuratkumar at Sri Raghava Ashram. Then Guruji Muralidhara Swamigal expressed that Sri Raghava Ashram is the initial temple for Yogi Ram suratkumar established in Chennai and third such type of one in India. In this manner, Sri Bhagwan Yogi Ramsuratkumar designed gracefully His Holy Presence at Raghavashram in order to wholeheartedly bless upon His children.

This particular ashram is an idea spot for a peaceful and comfortable stay for any type of Sadhana. In order to meet the demands, convenience, needs and requirement of the spiritual aspirant, this Ashram was moderately designed to accommodate them. The ashram holds from 1999, the "Guru Padhuka" that was wholeheartedly blessed by the Bhagawan's holy feet. The Bhagawan mentioned that "The greatest tapas for any one is to stay near one's Guru and do service to Him." On the other hand, Mother Suchindram Rajalakshmi is perfectly privileged to be rightfully bestowed with this Padhuka by the beloved Guru Yogi Ramsuratkumar Himself. Every fortnight during full moon day (Poornima) and new moon (Amavasya), she performs special poojas. In order to get Guru Maharaj's blessings, on certain occasion and events devotees gather to perform this particular pooja themselves.

  • At this ashram, people indulge in mediation and bhajan with nama chanting in order to create sound vibration that is strongly believed to gather special force plus spread out into the Universe and wholeheartedly reach the God concerned with a lot of perfection.
  • In the name of Sabari Gurukulam, moral classes are given for the village children. They are also given complimentary gifts for writing Ram Nam.
  • In the name of Panchavadi Gosala, Baktha Samaj is running from 2002, a Gosala in order to successfully rescue the cows from the slaughter house plus giving them better shelter.
  • The two significant missions of this ashram are Gosamrakshana and Ram Nam Biksha that are dedicated to Gurumaharaj Yogi Ramsuratkumar.

Sadhana Kendra

In 2009, Swadhyaya Sadhana Kendra was established to offer course and program to the public such as music course, yoga & mental health program, language training program, sathvic diet program, activity centre for kids, antharyoga workshop for adults and traditional & cultural training. All these programs and courses were well-designed and structured with the help of experts and specialists in this particular field along with Phycologist and Musician. Therefore these programs and course have the therapeutic, psychological and practical aspects for an individual who is ready to lean and practice. This helps to bring positive energy in the person and finally the society is also benefited along with the individual. It largely creates motional stability, a good mental temperature and builds a better relationship with the society. The inner cultural sectors are perfectly developed in a person through contribution on behalf of the cultural and tradition studies and its indulgence.

The main aim of all the courses and program provided by Swadhyaya Sadhana Kendra is to enhance productivity, handle different plus changing roles in life from childhood to old age, handle stress, to deal with fear and conflicts, personal well being, develop the hidden skill and talent in a person to enable a person to directly face the world with much confidence. This particular Kendra is an experience oriented activity centre.

Music course is offered for all age groups and both genders. Classes are conducted for Thirupugazh, kirtans, Sampradhaya Bhajans, Bhajans, Bhajans slokha, Carnatic /Classical portions and Semi classical of different languages. Students are also taught Vishnu Sahasranama, Sundara Kandam (slokhas- Valmiki), Lalitha Sahasranama, Lakhmi Pooja, Abirami Andhadhi, Lalitha Parameshwari Pooja(Sri Chakra Pooja), Sasti Kavacham, Ganapathi Pooja, Thirupaavai, Slokhas, normal pooja Vidhanam and many more.

Language training program deals with spoken, read and write aspects of the given language. Students are taught Language such as Hindi, English and one regional language. This program will help them to master the art of conversation, expressing emotions, building relations, etc. The duration and methodology of the program varies between adults to kids. Individual attention, understanding and care are given to them.

Yoga & mental health program -This program is conducted for 2 hours in the morning and evening sessions. The therapeutic, psychological and practical aspects of this program are well designed. This course helps to reduce stress, depression, anxiety, anger and other forms of emotional instability in a person.
